22 November: Senior Boys’ joint concert with Oxford Harmony and Man Choir
posted 25th November 2025
Last Saturday, members of the OYC Senior Boys choir supported Oxford Harmony, also directed by Colin Danskin, in a joint concert with Man Choir at St Mary Magdalen Church in Oxford. The audience were treated to a range of classic lower voices repertoire, including Billy Joel’s The Longest Time and the barbershop tune My Evaline. A real highlight of the concert was The Parting Glass, a traditional Scottish melody arranged by The Wailin’ Jennys, which began with the Senior Boys stepping out to sing an unaccompanied verse.
We also really enjoyed watching Man Choir perform such a diverse range of repertoire ranging from 18th-century sea shanties to Kate Bush and Meghan Trainor!
There are spaces in our Senior Boys Choir (and other choirs!), so please do sign up for our upcoming Open Morning on Saturday, 10 January 2026: 10 January: OYC Open Morning.
