Louise Taylor studied at the RNCM, obtaining her ARCM in piano performance before going on to study music at Hertford College, Oxford. After completing a postgraduate year at the RCM under Peter Wallfisch, she worked as a peripatetic music teacher for several years then took her PGCE. She taught in primary schools before becoming Head of Music at the Dragon Pre-Prep then Director of Music at Oxford High Junior School. She also performs herself as an accompanist and chamber musician.
She has many years' experience of teaching both in the classroom and with individuals and choirs. She worked as accompanist with the Prep Choirs and has shared the leadership of the Junior Choir for seven years. Louise particularly enjoys getting large numbers of children singing together and making sure they experience a wide range of songs in all sorts of styles.
